Save this recipe! Grilled Ginger Lime Tofu…. Sim Save this recipe! Grilled Ginger Lime Tofu…. Simple and delicious! 

If you don’t have a certain ingredient - don’t worry! DM me for suggestions on great substitutes for just about anything! 

Ingredients: 

8 oz Firm Tofu, pressed 
2 Tbsps rice vinegar
2 Tbsp ginger, minced
2 tsp sriracha sauce (sub any hot sauce)
2 tsp salt-free onion and herb spice 
2 taps honey or maple syrup
Pinch salt-free alternative
Pinch pepper

Instructions:

Slice pressed tofu into 1/7  inch strips. Add all other ingredients to small mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour over the top of pressed tofu and refrigerate for an hour or longer. 

Heat oven to 400F. Line baking sheet with foil. Lay tofu strips evenly on the tray and bake 10 minutes each side. 

Serve with rice and steamed veggies!

Your liver flushes out toxins and dumps them into your intestines. However, if your digestive system isn’t working optimally then all of those toxins and waste can get reabsorbed into your body.

Elderberry - it’s flowers and berries have been Elderberry - it’s flowers and berries have been used as a folk medicine to treat colds and flus because of its antioxidant, antiinflammatory and antiviral properties. 

Whether or not you’re taking a break from alcohol, this is a great winter elixir.

Combine about 1 teaspoon of Elderberry syrup with 8 -12 oz of seltzer. Squeeze 1/4 of fresh lime juice to freshen it up and garnish with a sprig of rosemary. 

Our bodies welcome a break from excess sugar and alcohol. Our skin will begin to release excess toxins and the liver functions better as it gets a break to reset. 

Mocktails are a fun way to give your body a rest from sugary beverages but still enjoy a festive and fancy drink. 

Elderberry syrup should be purchased from a reputable source or you can easily make your own. I got this from a local pharmacist who makes all natural remedies (shout out to Wellness Rx!) but you can find a good product in most health food stores. 

Keep Elderberry syrup refrigerated once it’s open and you can actually take 2-3 tsps a day to fight off colds and support your immune system.

One of the great perks of running the Juice Truck was getting to meet many of my film and TV idols. 

Still making this recipe after 16 years because it always delivers. Fresh, nutrient-rich deliciousness which fuels you and helps to cleanse your digestion. Winning 🏆🥒🍏🥬

Make it: 

THE GREEN PIRATE
 
- 1 cup of Spinach, tightly packed
- 1 green Granny Smith apple 
- 2 stalks celery
- ¼ lemon
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 1 medium cucumber
 
Juice the ginger and lemon first, followed by 1/2 of the cucumber. Next push the spinach through the juicer and follow with the apple, celery, and then rest of cucumber. This helps to move the less viscous ingredients completely through the basket.

To make in a blender, try adding all of the ingredients to a high speed blender plus 2cups of water to start. Blend on high and check consistency. You want to get the liquid to be thin enough that you can strain out the pulp. Continue to add water until the consistency is thin enough to pour through a strained. Strain out the pulp and enjoy!
